Zeus

Zeus
Congratulations Zeus!

Zeus is a 5 year old Siberian Husky and one of the sweetest boys we have had the privilege of meeting! He came into rescue and immediately made friends with all of the dogs in our care and wrapped our volunteers around his paws.
Zeus loves, loves, loves to play with the pups and he is also a very talented cuddler. If allowed, he is appreciative of his space in bed. Sadly, Zeus has to be re-homed. He adored his own 7 year old boy and loved the new baby, but baby was allergic to our canine pal. It broke his family’s heart, but they knew they had to say goodbye to their fur-kid.
Zeus has it all ~ great looks and personality, all he needs now is a forever home where he can belong. He is looking for love (in all the right places) and would love to have two legged kids of his own.

Chance & Shasta

Chance & Shasta

Age: 4 years
Sex: Males
Size: Large
Chance and Shasta

Chance and Shasta are very handsome Siberian Husky/German Shepard Dogs that are four years old. These boys have the very best of both breeds. Chance has more tan markings and Shasta more cream, each with saddle markings. These brothers have been together through thick and thin and are a bonded pair. They depend on each other and can only go to a family that will keep them together.

Chance and Shasta are approximately 70 pounds each and while playful, they are past the puppy stage. They love to hang out together and be around people. They are good with most other dogs, however, they would be best in a home just with each other.

Sadly, both boys were in a home that was unable to care for them as they got bigger. If you are interested in new friends to keep you company and ready for a long term commitment, these two boys may be just perfect for you!

Peaches loves to play and then she is ready for cuddling and puppy kisses with her two-legged friends.   She is a healthy and happy pup, however there are 2 vertebrae that weren’t fully formed leaving a small kink in her tail.  This certainly doesn’t keep Peaches from lots of tail wagging!

Romeo is a handsome 3 year old Siberian Husky that was born on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, Romeo was a victim of the economy and he came into rescue with his buddy, Pablo. Both pups are adjusting well and have already made friends with the other dogs and volunteers.
Romeo lives up to his name ~ this boy is a lover! He enjoys squeaky toys and balls and loves to play. He is one of our “new kids on the block” and we are getting to know him better. At this time we would prefer that Romeo be adopted with his pal Pablo.
If you think Romeo and Pablo would be the ones for you, we’d love to tell you more.Romeo3

Anastasia

AnastasiaAnastasia2Congratulations Anastasia!!

Anastasia is a beautiful silver and white Siberian Husky born on August 1, 2012. She was born with a defective front leg that resembled a chicken wing, however, it did not slow her down at all. As a young puppy she broke the leg when racing and sliding under a bed and it was felt best to remove the rest of her leg.
This active and friendly, tripod? keeps up with the fastest of dogs and she is quite the digger. She romps and plays with everyone until she tires out. Then it is time for a quick Siberian snooze and more play time.
Anastasia is a very vocal girl that loves to sing. She will also hold her own in any conversation you may wish to have. She is a young and high energy gal that also enjoys quality cuddle time with her people.
Anastasia has been raised around kids (8 and older), but no small pets please! She’
d love to have another active canine playmate to tire her out and keep her out of mischief.

In Memory of Sikora

Sikora1

October 13, 2014 – Our sweet little girl has crossed the Rainbow bridge. She was having difficulty getting around recently and was clearly uncomfortable. She passed surrounded by love. Please light a candle in her memory. We will never forget her. Rest in Peace, run pain free Sikora, until we meet again…..

Sikora’s family moved from a home with a large fenced in area to a home with no backyard. They love her dearly, but she is clearly unhappy with her current home and wants to be in a fenced area where she can enjoy watching the world go by. She most certainly is an indoor dog and enjoys being part of the family as well as relaxing outside.
This pretty 40-45 pound bi-eyed girl is great with young children and other dogs. She has been socialized since a puppy and gets along with everyone. She walks nicely on a leash.
Unfortunately Sikora’s health has declined. She’s losing her balance more often and is going through laser therapy to help with her spinal column. Please keep her in your prayers.

In Memory of Jazzi

3/31/14 -Tonight we wrapped our sweet, sweet girl in bear hugs and so many
kisses. She began her final journey on this clear, cool night among
the stars to the Bridge in a circle of love.

I had the honor of holding her all afternoon and she rewarded me by
lifting her head once to gently kiss me. Pat carried her to the car
and she kissed him. Our precious gift of good-bye. Our hearts are
broken. She was part of the MaPaw family for three years.

Our blind senior was an amazing dog ~ not “special needs” but
“special”. All afternoon “Amazing Grace” was in my mind and I sang it
to her. She certainly wasn’t a wretch, but I know she can look down
and see us.

“Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see”

Never goodbye dear girl… Until we meet again. Wear your silver
harness proudly ~ God speed baby. You are loved and your paw-prints
are always on our hearts. Until we meet again…

Congratulations Koya!

Koya is a handsome 4.5 year old Siberian with great looks and a personality to match. He has warm brown eyes that are sure to steal your heart. He came into rescue when his dad found a job and had to move where no dogs were allowed. He was heartbroken and wanted Koya to be safe and happy. We welcomed Koya in and quickly saw what a great dog he is.
Koya enjoys playing with the other huskies waiting for their new homes. He gets along with all of the dogs, male and female. Prior to being in rescue Koya was with one family since he was a puppy. He is housebroken and trustworthy in the house. He walks well on a leash (for a husky).
Koya is quickly becoming a favorite with the volunteers and is going to be a wonderful companion for some lucky person. If interested, please contact us about Koya!

Clint

Age: 9 Years
Sex: Male
Size: Large

Clint is a handsome guy that came to MaPaw almost a year ago as a victim of the economy when his family could no longer care for him. When he first joined his foster home, he was confused about what was happening. Clint quickly warmed up to his human caregivers and was soon making friends, both human and canine. This big guy just wants attention and someone to love.

Clint loves toys, riding in the car and people of all ages. He is a vocal boy and has a low grumbly voice when he expresses himself. He will do best in a sibe-savvy home that is experienced in typical husky ways. Clint will be fine as an only dog or with another female canine companion.

At 9 years old, Clint is a low key husky who enjoys the attention of his humans and just wants a family to call his own.
