Romeo *Adopted*

Age: 8-9 years
Sex: Male
Size: Average

This gorgeous bi-eyed older gentleman came to us as a result of divorce, so now he is looking for his new forever family. Romeo is calm, playful, and affectionate. He’s a talker who will enjoy a good conversation with you, and he reportedly will tease a bit to get some affection. Romeo is good with other dogs and children of all ages. He knows his basic commands, walks well on a leash, and does okay on short car rides. He’s a bit overweight and is also in the process of being treated for eye and ear infections, but he’s still in a good mood. If you’re looking for a special senior who will appreciate the love and care you have to offer, then Romeo could be just right for you.

Natti

Age: About 3 years
Sex: Female
Size: Average

Beautiful Natti’s foster mom tells us that she is an absolute sweetheart! A “kissy face”, fun loving pup who is ready for any adventure and rides well in the car. She loves going for walks, hikes, runs, or just cuddling with you. Natti is very smart and learns things quite easily. She has a miscieveous side (what husky doesn’t?) but she’s pretty obedient as well. Natti seems to like all other dogs. She hasn’t been tested with cats but when out on adventures she shows all the signs of a strong prey drive toward small animals.

Natti likes to be with her people as much as possible (she will always be wherever you are in the house) so she’s not looking for a home that will leave her alone for 7 – 8 hours each day. When you do come home after being out, she will greet you at the door like none other! Natti is an all around great gal who is looking for her own bestie to love. If you’re looking for someone to lovingly spend your days and nights with (in bed too), then Nattie might be the right pup for you.

Grizzley

Age: 1 year
Sex: Male
Size: Average

This photo says it all about Grizzley! Sweet, handsome, and snuggly! This young pup came into rescue because his human’s living situation couldn’t accommodate him. Grizzly is housebroken and crate trained. He knows a couple of basic commands and walks well on a leash. Grizzly isn’t food possessive but he does like to keep his toys to himself. He’s nervous when riding in the car, but he’s young so the right human could perhaps help him overcome that. His former human told us that Grizzley enjoys playing with balls and likes to chew on water bottles. We don’t know how this boy does with young children, but we do know that Grizzly is a sweet dog looking for a human who will snuggle with him forever. Could it be you?

Katara is a graceful beauty with bi-color eyes. She’s been a mother many times and is now ready to be given the same kind of tender loving care that she provided for her pups. Kitara is housebroken and crate trained. She gets along with other dogs and does well with older children; she isn’t possessive with her food or toys; she knows her basic commands; and she’s good in the car and on a leash. Katara is great dog with a wonderful personality who is in search of the right person to share her life with. Could it be you?

Meet handsome Cullen! He just arrived at MaPaw and so far he’s showing himself to be a healthy, good natured, happy-go-lucky guy. He doesn’t even seem stressed about coming into rescue! Cullen lived with a single woman, a couple of pomeranians, and a cat. In his new forever home he’s looking for a family without small dogs or cats. Stay tuned for more information about Cullen as we get to know him in regard to how he might be with kids or other dogs closer to his own size.

Jake

Age: 9 years
Sex: Female (yes, Jake is a female)
Size: Large

Jake is a very friendly shepherd/husky mix who came into rescue because her longtime companion was very ill, and he decided to let Jake go now because he wanted to make sure that she would be in the hands of people who would find her a loving and happy forever home. We promise to do that!

Jake is a great girl who lived her life contentedly as an only dog, and she really misses her longtime friend and the comfort of being in a home. She wags when she meets strangers and is very affectionate. Her human reported that they spent most of their time inside, but also took many nice walks together. Jake had free run of her house and was always a very good girl who is well house trained. She shows no signs of food aggression but she can be a bit possessive with her toys (squeaky toys are favorite). Jake has a strong prey drive toward small animals, so no cats or other small pets. She’d also prefer to live without other dogs or children.

Jake would be happiest in a quiet home with one or more adults who are around much of the time because she’s used to constant companionship and feels anxious when left alone. If you spend a lot of time at home and are ready to be loved by a truly wonderful senior dog who wants to be a great companion to a special someone, then maybe Jake would be the perfect new best friend for you.

Rufus

~ Congratulations Rufus! ~

Age: 5 years
Sex: Male
Size: Average

Rufus is a great talker and could be just the dog for you if you’re looking for a fun woo-woo conversationalist. Rufus is a very good natured guy who came into rescue as a result of his former owner’s need to downsize into a smaller living space. He is housebroken and has no food aggression. Rufus has a good amount of energy and enjoys getting out for a walk, or just hanging around the yard. Rufus is friendly with all people but can be choosy when it comes to other dogs, mainly males. He enjoys the company of all of the females we’ve paired him with in the MaPaw play yard.
