This senior gal’s name says it all…
Just 2 short days ago, Lucky’s life was looking quite bleak. A few months ago, she lost her Dad and now her Mom is in the hospital losing her fight against cancer. Lucky’s fur siblings were much younger and it was easier to find homes for them, but as hard as they tried, a new home wasn’t in the cards for this poor gal. With nowhere else to turn, her owner’s brother went to the shelter to look for help.
It just so happened that a fabulous MaPaw volunteer, Margie, was also volunteering at the shelter that day. After hearing Lucky’s story, Margie knew that Lucky needed MaPaw. Within a few short hours, all of the details were worked out.
Earlier today, Lucky joined the MaPaw family. We’ll get her settled in her foster home, give her a good brushing and start her search for the perfect family. We are so happy that we were able to help her ~ thanks to her foster homes for stepping forward.
Our hearts go out to Lucky’s family. We hope that knowing Lucky is safe will help to ease the pain at least a little bit.
