Kenya was abandoned, and thanks to a Good Samaritan, he found his way to MaPaw. He is one of those very special huskies. He wants nothing more than to be near you for affection. He plays well with other dogs, but prefers people attention more. He is a little shy in new places and hesitant with certain stairs.
Kenya doesn't jump up on people or "counter surf" due to his missing back paw. Most people who see him running around don't notice he only has three paws because he gets around just fine. There is no need to feel sorry for him. The vet is pretty sure his missing back paw is a birth defect, so he knows nothing else.
Kenya goes for walks/runs, but if longer than a mile he needs a little break. He is so much more eager when he turns for home. We think he prefers to be close to home due to fear of being abandoned again.
Kenya just wants nothing more than people who will love him for what he is and not feel sorry for him. He has no food aggression and is fine with kids. This darling boy is going to make a wonderful, loving companion for some lucky family.
