homeless and with a litter of puppies to care for. Found
nestled under a porch, a Good Samaritan took Baby and her pups
in. Baby’s momma duties are done now and it is time
for her and her pups to find their forever homes.
Baby is a baby herself, approximately one year

TJ
T-J is a sweet, lonely old teddy bear that needs a quiet home to relax and enjoy his golden years. At twelve years old he was taken to a city shelter and just left behind. He came into rescue bewildered and sad, not sure what in the world was happening to him.
T-J is re-learning to be a family pet and is starved for attention; he will follow you from room to room and just wants to be by your side. He loves to nap, take short walks and go for car rides. He is trustworthy in the house, but does have the occasional accident. He was recently neutered and the housebreaking issues are improving on a daily basis.
If you are looking for a quiet friend that will be a constant companion and idolize you, please consider T-J. He is a Seniors make wonderful pets and have so much to give.
Sleeping at your feet, dreaming of the good old days and enjoying life at a slower pace.

MOJO
Mojo is a darling little guy ready to take on the world! He was born May 30, 2005 and is delighting all of us with his puppy antics. He is a smart boy, well on his way to being housebroken and crate trained. Siberian puppies are a lot of work and require time and patience. Mojo will best be adopted to a home that is sibe/dog experienced and has another active dog to entertain him… and keep him out of trouble.

GINGER
Ginger is an affectionate two-year-old female that loves to snuggle and to cuddle up on the couch so she needs a home that doesn't mind if she “makes herself at home”. Ginger is housebroken and crate trained. She has some separation anxiety and does best when with other dogs. She walks nicely on a leash and would be fine with “dog savvy” kids.
This pretty girl is a typical young Siberian and is quite active and full of life. She will be best placed in a Siberian-experienced home with other dogs. If you have room in your home and your heart, please contact us about Ginger – we'd love to tell you more about this special lady!

blondie

Meet Blondie, a sweet one-year-old Siberian/Chesapeake
Bay Retriever who has an incredible face with bi-eyes and
a happy tail that is constantly wagging.
This friendly little girl ended up at a
SPCA when her owner developed allergies and quickly became
a favorite among the staff and volunteers. An incredible effort
was made by many to bring this girl into a rescue as everyone
was impressed with her character and disposition. And she
is only one year old.
Blondie is housetrained, good with people,
kids, dogs and even tested cat friendly (she was scared of
them).
She is now nestled in with her foster family,
once again enjoying the comforts of home and dreaming of
her forever home.

Roger
The Energizer
Roger is a handsome 12-15 month old black
and white pup with dual brown eyes and lots of love and energy.
This sweet boy loves to be with people and makes a great companion.
He is crate trained and housebroken and has been trained on
the invisible fence.
Roger loves to play with dogs
his size or larger and would be best with a female or strong
male dog. No small animals please! He enjoys playing with his
toys and "shows no fear". This youngster is ready
for anything!
Roger is great with children
of all ages, however, would be best with ages eight or older
since he gets excited and may jump on them for kisses. He is
a very loyal and sweet guy and knows his basic commands. He
is a happy boy that just needs one thing - his
very own home where he can continue to grow up and be part
of the family.
If you think Roger might be the right one
for you, please contact us - we'd love to tell you more about
this wonderful pup!

Gaya
and Tala

Gala and Tala are two wonderful, socialized
Siberians that have been cared for and loved all of their lives.
Unfortunately, they will lose their home in approximately two
weeks and have run out of options. They desperately need to find
permanent or foster homes. They are very affectionate and have
lived together all of their lives. We'd prefer to place them
together, but they can go to separate homes in order to save
their lives.
TALA:
Tala is a hefty white female Siberian with beautiful blue eyes
rimmed in black. She is a big, goofy dog that weighs in at 100
pounds and was born March 8, 2001 . She loves to lie at your
feet and is somewhat lazy. She is generally good with children
(She loves to kiss their faces) and currently allows a toddler
to pull on her and love her.
She likes to sleep in her kennel, knows sit,
lay down, high fives, crawl and speak – especially when rewarded
with a treat. She loves the snow, going for walks and car rides,
but keep the bills and checkbook away from her because she will
chew paper if she is bored.
GAYA:
Gaya is a 55-pound black and white female with blue eyes with
an estimated birth of March 8, 2000 (one year from the day of
being rescued). Gaya is an energetic, mouthy Siberian that also
likes to nap near you. She is good with children and takes fur
pulling, etc. in stride. She likes to sleep in her kennel or
under the bed and is generally good on a leash (for a husky).
Gaya knows sit, lay down, high fives (see the
picture!) She was a second chance rescue from the Humane Society
and only weighed 35 pounds at the time. She is extremely in tune
with human's emotions – if you are the least bit upset, she will
come and give you kisses.
Both Tala and Gaya have been attached to sleds
and will pull, but only in a straight line. They do not know
the commands for direction change yet. All leashes and harnesses
will be given to the new family/families.
Please: if you can help us save these
beautiful two girls, let us know quickly. They are in the prime
of their lives and have so much love to give…

elvis III
The Little King
Elvis found his way into rescue at the tender-lovin' age of 9 weeks – and found his way into all of our hearts. This gray and white Siberian puppy is bursting with promise and potential. He is a wonderful puppy and he loves everyone he meets – people, humans and even the beagle puppy in the neighborhood!
Elvis is an active, healthy baby but there may be a condition with his right eye. (Look close at his photo, one is smaller than the other). He has just come into MaPaw and will be evaluated thoroughly by our vet/ophthalmologist in the coming week.
UPDATE 7/25/05 : Good News! Elvis' eye is simply a cosmetic condition he was born with. He is NOT blind, there is NO infection and there is NO problem with it.
He is just beautiful in his own special way!

smokey
To know him is to love him!
Smokey is approximately three years old and is a Siberian Husky/German Shepherd Dog mix – and he has the best of both breeds! He is a quick learner and a very smart guy. Smokey has a wonderful temperament and is an easy-going guy who is in desperate need of a loving forever home where he can hang out and be part of the family.
Smokey absolutely loves belly rubs and just sitting by a tree relaxing or going for a walk. He is one special boy, however, if given the opportunity his husky side takes over and he can run like the wind!
Smokey gets along well with other huskies, however, NOT smaller dogs or household pets. He cannot be adopted to a home with cats.
A home that understands and has experience with the intelligence and energy levels of herding and working dogs would be ideal for Smokey.

dakoda

Puppy Challenge
Dakoda is an 11-month-old Siberian puppy that is going to be an absolutely wonderful addition to the right family. His family must rehome him due to a child's allergies. He is great with children, other dogs and has lived with cats .
Like all young Siberian Huskies, Dakoda is very energetic and loves attention. He is house trained, but has been known to “spite pee” and chew when left alone, typical at his age. A home that would be dedicated to continuing Dakoda's training and familiar with husky ways would be best for this youngster. Crate training would definitely be a plus as well as another dog his size to play with. He has learn to sit, give paw, down and is working on speak.
Dakoda is a great puppy that will become a wonderful companion. He LOVES belly rubs, playing with ropes and squeaky toys and just wants someone to love. A diamond in the rough, whoever invests in this guy will be rewarded with a loyal, lifetime friend with unconditional love.

Classic Beauty
Keisha is a black and white Siberian who somehow lost her home somewhere along the way. She has been vet checked, brought up to date on her shots and is approximately four to five years old.
Keisha seems fine with other dogs her size, however, will be best placed in a home without cats or small pets. Like most Siberians, she is an escape artist.
We are presently getting to know this little girl and would love to tell you more about her. If interested, please feel free to contact us!

Sparrow
Quick and Agile!!!
Sparrow was named after a small, quick bird as she has a slight build and is very agile. She is between 1 and 2 yrs old, but probably closer to one. Completely house and crate trained, Sparrow is a very quick learner. She loves praise and attention and she loves to be in the company of people. She can be a bit assertive with other dogs however not agressive. She would do best with other dogs who would let her have her way. She could easily scale many fences so a Sibe savvy owner would be best for Sparrow. Is there room in your nest for our sweet Sparrow?

Name our Newest Siberian Hu sky
Meet the newest kid on the block - This handsome "whooly" (long hair) husky has completely stolen our hearts! He is approximately three years old and is bi-eyed (one brown and one blue). If you look closely you will also see one is a parti-eye (half blue and half brown).
"New Guy" was in dire straits and somehow knew that we brought him into rescue in the nick of time. He met us with smiles and kisses and just prances with happiness. In a very short time he trained us to offer him treats when he sat so pretty.
He is settling in nicely with his foster home and has been given a great report from our vet along with current shots, heartworm, lyme and his own microchip.
This boy has everything now - except a name and a forever home. Can you help us find the perfect name for him? Please send your suggestions to NewGuy@sibes.com .
We are currently getting to know him so we can match him to right home. Stay tune for updates and if interested in adopting him, please contact us.

Star
"When I am
old, I shall wear a purple dress with a red hat..."
That’s Star’s motto! Star is a happy and very confident
girl and a wonderful companion. You would never know it now, but
Star had a broken leg when she came to us. Star was a real trooper
while her leg healed - she even tried to take the stairs - and now
she runs all over the place playing with the other Sibes. She is
very social with people and other dogs, well mannered in the house,
and she is easy to walk on leash. Star is also great at getting her
point across with an intense look and a low “wooooo!” when
she needs a walk outside, or dinner, or just to order up a biscuit.
Star acts much younger than her 9 years, but she carries herself
with dignity, and she is very much a “Red Hat” lady.

Looking
for a new buddy?
One
year old Sampson - a Husky/Chow mix - might just fit the
bill. This fun loving guy has lived in a family environment
and is good with other dogs of similar size and energy level.
He is crate trained, knows basic commands, and is good with
children who don't mind being knocked over now and then.
|
 |
This
guy will require a secure, fenced yard. He does, after all, have
husky in him and in true husky style he wastes no time in taking
advantage of an open door or gate and won't think twice about
taking some husky hikes by himself.
Due
to his wanderlust he'll need a family who can be vigilent about
keeping him safe and sound in his own yard.

Bosco
A Tail of Survival

Bosco is a three-year-old black and white Siberian that has had some bad luck in his short life… He was left abandoned for two weeks outside of a burned down house before being found.
Bosco is safe now and has put on some much needed weight. In fact, he has become a mooch and gladly gives high fives for any treat. He has been vet checked, brought up to date on shots and micro-chipped.
Bosco is presently in foster care waiting to find his forever home. He loves attention and just wants to be near you. If allowed, he is first in bed at night, where he politely sleeps at your feet. He is housebroken and crate trained. He will be best placed as an only pet.

| Halfie
Wear your silver harness proudly
This timeless beauty is the mascot of MaPaw.
She gave her life, her loyalty and her spirit to her family, until
they decided she had outlived her usefulness and left her at the local
SPCA. Half was almost ten when she found herself abandoned. This senior
citizen moves slowly, in fact, spends most of her time in a recliner
we have designated as hers. We recently determined she has finally
lost her hearing, so she receives plenty of kisses instead of kind
words.
Halfie went to the bridge in January
2003. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. She truly was a
timeless beauty.
